To the Training Hall
Sunday October 28th
Let Them Go, They're Just Fodder!
The brave companions continue fighting their way through the Sea Harpy lair. Seeker and Arn break up a group of rogues defending a choke-point and after taking out several of them, the rest flee. Arn wants to follow, but Seeker calls out that there was another false wall nearby and that they should continue further into the compound, not worry with chasing after a bunch of cowards. Cruncher the Worg continues tearing his way through Sea Harpies, ignoring cries of pain and calls for surrender from his former compatriots. Silver, Moonscar and Valinya look about, trying to figure out the best way forward.
The training hall is a large, padded room with numerous practice dummies and other bits of equipment scattered throughout. The room smells of sweat and blood to those whose noses are strong enough to detect such scents. Some of the more eagle eyed members of the group realize that some of the practice dummies are actually Sea Harpies in disguise, waiting to get the jump on them. Before anyone can say anything, two rogues shoot crossbow bolts at Cruncher from behind a large purple-padded throne on a raised dais at one end of the room. One of the hidden archers is taken out by a Sunbolt to the face while Seeker and Silver dispatch the Sea Harpy "dummies." Moonscar enters the fray by tossing some of the various pouches and pots he has gathered from previously downed Sea Harpies, causing a patch of tendrils to appear on the floor.
The battle soon becomes a chaotic mess of weapons, flying pots and pouches, movement hampering spots on the floor, curses and bad puns, lightning bolts, sprays of blood, and dragon fire! Finally the Sea Harpies are vanquished, leaving one left as a prisoner that hopefully has some answers!
Knock, Knock
Being directed at the false stone wall, Arn rushes it and bashes it with his shield, managing to knock enough of the bricks out to fall halfway through. After clearing the hole to a large enough size for his companions to get through, Arn and his magically enhanced darkvision lead the way. The hallways are now quiet and devoid of Sea Harpy skirmishers. After a few turns and numerous sniffs by those with more discriminating noses, the group approaches what Eliar's map noted as the Training Hall, beyond which, everyone concluded, was Lady Lotus's inner sanctum.Training Hall
Cruncher is asked again to lead them to Lady Lotus but the Worg reminds them that he does not know where she is and has never been to the portion of the hideout where her rooms are. He believes it is past the training hall and indicates that the door they have gathered at leads there. Wasting no time, Arn charges and bashes the stuck door open and careens into the room. The training hall is a large, padded room with numerous practice dummies and other bits of equipment scattered throughout.
