Sundered Lands 17

The Sundered Lands of Palladium

Session 17

Deep Under Parrot Island

Friday October 27

Soggy Zombies

The waterlogged zombies flow in like an undead tidal wave, assaulting the separated group from two fronts. Seeker, Fortis and Silver deal with the group in the northern chambers while Valinya, Arn and Moonscar repel the zombies to the south.

Spells, weapons and dragon fire fill the wet, low chambers beneath Parrot Island. Though many are dispatched, they keep coming. At one point, Seeker finds himself surrounded by grasping, wet hands trying to drag him down, but Silver's dragon fire shakes them off. Seeker is very thankful for a previously cast spell protecting him from fire!

A Ghostly Newcomer

The Ghost of Parrot Island
The battle rages on, slowly sapping the strength of the team. After a while, the press of zombies in the south seems to let up and the group attempts to reform. Just as it seems that the zombies are being dealt with, a ghostly apparition floats into sight, right through the middle of Fortis's globe of sunlight, causing it to dim in the process.

The temperature in the room drops noticeably and everyone experiences a sinking feeling in their guts. Seeker tries to lash out with his sword but finds that his blade seems to pass straight through. Silver has better results with her flame breath though, causing the ghost to become angered and fling bolts of purple-black energy around.

Seeker is surrounded!

They just keep coming!

Silver implements a flame-based solution to the zombie problem.

Arn finds himself in the thick of things.

A fearsome, ghostly newcomer appears.
