Campaign Timeline

Coming Home

Fireday, 30th of Rova - Moonday, 3rd of Lamashan

After managing to knock the raging Dwarf, Ehlyna, unconscious, the group made a slow and plodding retreat away from their most recent foes lair. Safely behind the giant gold coin column portal, they holed up in Nualia's research room, the strange round room with the fountain of blue water. They rested there for the night and luckily, the bright blue bubbling water turned out (so far) to be completely harmless, because Ellie just could not master her curiosity and eventually drank it. The next morning, feeling a bit more refreshed and stronger, the group grudgingly decided they needed to head back to Sandpoint to deliver the news of Nualia and the Goblin's defeat, if not to re-group and cash in their plunder.

Everyone was delighted to hear of their successes and heart-broken to hear of the loss of
Turandarok Academy
Zursat, Professional Adventurer. Shayliss Vinder, in particular was very distraught and made several very public displays of her grieving. Over the next few days, they party was able to identify some useful magical items with help from their new companion, Vexeron the Mage, and were able to sell everything else that was valuable but not worthy of keeping.

Daellin spent much of these days at the Turandarok Academy taking some lessons from Master Gandethus, keeping himself away from his friends and the thoughts of having to so brutally attack his companion. Meanwhile Ehlyna seemed a bit distant from the group as well, no doubt still trying to come to terms with the terrible charm she had been placed under which forced her to attack her comrades. Ellie, spent most of her time wandering aimlessly, also still disturbed by the actions she and her friends had to take to subdue Ehlyna.

Wizard on Fire
One evening, Calina, Kallin and Vexeron were strolling the streets when they heard cries of help. They rushed forward to help, being directed to ‘monsters coming out of the glassworks’. They arrived on the scene to see several of the grotesque and dangerous creatures they had encountered in the ruins below attacking some town guards. One guard had already fallen and the other 2 were nearly done in as well. They quickly entered the fray and though the tide was not always in their favor, they managed to defeat 2 waves of the rampaging creatures, though not before Vexeron managed to nearly kill himself in a magical conflagration of his own summoning.

Eventually several more members of the city watch showed up and assisted the three heroes in dispatching of the creatures.

Vexeron was extinquished quickly the broken open doors of the Glassworks were boarded back up again.

Kallin Storms Off

Kallin's Continuing Story Summary

Kallin spent some time over the next day or so very upset. He was continually thinking about how things kept going wrong and how mad it made him. He was upset about the potential danger to the townsfolk and that made him angry. He thought about his so called companions who had not been with him during their most recent encounter with the creatures from the crypts below Sandpoint, and that made him angry too!

Sabyl Sorn
Kallin eventually woke up from a long and terrible dream. He was surrounded by acolytes from the Sandpoint Cathedral. They told him he had had a seizure  Still feeling out of sorts, he got up and wandered the early morning streets of Sandpoint.

Eventually Kallin comes across a young Human woman doing some martial arts exercises on top of a 10 foot pole. She speaks to him and introduces herself as Sabyl Sorn of the House of Blue Stones. She invites him inside the House of Blue Stones, a house of meditation. He sits with Sabyl for some time and he begins to feel better. They meditate and talk about inner peace and spirituality. She gives him a book titled The Bonelands in a Spiral, a holy text of Pharasma, the Lady of Graves.

He then heads off to meet his friends, who are having a conversation with the Sheriff.

Continuing Story Doc

Continuing Story Summary

Acolytes from the Cathedral arrived after the guards and gave minor healing to those wounded and encouraged any still wounded to come to the Cathedral in the morning for Father Zantus to take care of it.

The next morning, everyone but Kallin was gathered in the common room of the Rusty Dragon. Everyone was sullen and in a poor mood thinking about all the things that needed to be taken care of, such as defeating the wolf-demon-beast back at Thistletop and retrieving Ehlyna's ax as well as clearing out the ruins below Sandpoint and putting a stop to the dangerous split-jawed creatures as well as the tiny, flying sorcerous creature that had harried them before.
Just the, the doors to the Inn open and in strides Sheriff Hemlock. He looks tired and haggard, but smiles when he sees you. “I arrived back to Sandpoint late last night. I was given a brief rundown of all you have done in my absence. My condolences on the loss of your friend. He was a brave warrior. Your aid and protection to the city of Sandpoint has been invaluable, truly you are great and noble heroes. Now, I must ask one more thing of you, will you delve back into the catacombs below the town and see if you cannot vanquish whatever evil lies there? I have considered sending a group of town guards down there, but I fear that their training will not be enough to let them be triumphant. You, on the other hand, are tried and tested, mighty heroes one and all, and I am certain you can best whatever evils lurk there. And, yes, I was successful in my mission to Magnimar. The Lord-Mayor was generous and lent us a detachment of soldiers to help protect the city, though with Nualia and the Goblin threat neutralized, it may be a bit of overkill, nevertheless, I will keep them stationed here as long as I can. Please consider my request in the name of Sandpoint.” He takes a big breath after his lengthy spiel to the gathered heroes, the rests, hands on his hips.
The group agrees to his request and begins making plans to once again delve into the dangerous catacombs below the town of Sandpoint.

Session Notes

Another PC light session, but we play on! The good thing with a group of 6 PCs is that even when half of them are not available, you still have enough to play! Of course I wish everyone was there every time, I understand. We only play once a month, so there isn't much of a chance that were not going to play just because a few can't make it.
